The 8th Annual Robert M. Maloney Scholarship

The 8th Annual Robert M. Maloney Scholarship Winner!

On Friday, June 5, the Scholarship Committee presented the 8th The Robert M. Maloney Sr. Scholarship Award to Mara Britton, daughter of ORD employee Chris Britton. This scholarship award program was first started eight years ago by former President Paula Dexter in honor of her mentor and company founder and has now become an annual tradition. Applications are made available each December for all children and grandchildren of current employees who have had at least two years of employment with Air General.

There was an outstanding group for applicants this year and the Air General Scholarship, and we were pleased to present the $10,000 check to Mara Britton for her upcoming college tuition.

Congratulations to Mara Britton in this achievement! She has been accepted and is planning to attend the University of Minnesota to study psychology and criminal justice. She submitted an outstanding essay, gave a poised and thoughtful interview, and provided a resume full of activities, academic achievement, and community involvement.

If you have a child or grandchild who has college plans in 2022, please watch for the announcements and applications at the end of this year!
