Students Will Learn

IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations Manual

All students who take this course will leave with a full understanding of how to interpret and use the DGR when signing for international and domestic DG shipments.

Dangerous Goods Packaging Requirements and Labeling

Students will be able to identify the proper packaging requirements, labels, shipper/consignee information as well as any other requirements designated by IATA.

Dangerous Goods Labeling

Students will learn how to check to make sure that the labeling is correct, up to date, matches the paperwork and complies with IATA regulations as well as carrier and county restrictions.

Documentation for Radioactive & Non-Radioactive Materials

Thoroughly understand the importance of the shopper's declaration and its significance. Understand the identification, packaging, marking and labeling of Radioactive Materials.

Recurrent and RevalidationTraining Available

Air General's DG Academy also offers a 3-day recurrent training program for those who hold a full dangerous goods certification and who need to become recurrent for non-radioactive AND offers a 4-day recurrent training program for full radioactive shipments. This course includes:

  • Knowledge check on all subjects covered in initial training
  • Comprehensive overview of new amendments, rules & regulations, and changes to the IATA DGR Manual
